The London hospital where British Princess Kate Middleton underwent surgery in January, is investigating unauthorised attempts to access the princess’s medical files, potentially leading to disciplinary actions.
Princess Kate had a serious abdominal surgery on the 16th of January and was hospitalised for about ten days. Palace officials didn’t give any specific details about the surgery and stressed that her private medical information remains confidential.
On Wednesday, the tabloid The Mirror reported that at least one hospital employee was allegedly caught trying to view the princess’s records.
The Information Commissioner’s Office, a privacy watchdog, stated it had received a report about a breach and is currently verifying the information.
