Belgium's Foreign Affairs Department on Friday advised schools to postpone trips to areas infected by the new coronavirus (Covid-19) in France, after issuing a similar advisory for Italy.
The areas in question are located in the departments of Oise, Haute Savoie, Morbihan and Haut Rhin.
Information on the affected areas is available on the education.gouv.fr website.
Earlier in the day, the Foreign Affairs Department had modified its advisory on travel to Italy, recommending the postponement until further notice of all Belgian school trips to that country.
The education ministries of the communities have called on organisers to follow these recommendations.
