The 75 employees handling the coronavirus (Covid-19) information line, 0800/14689, answered close to 9,000 calls on Wednesday, according to Crisis Centre spokesman Yves Stevens.
To avoid overloading on its line, the Centre is calling on information seekers to start by consulting the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) posted on its site, www.info-coronavirus.be. "The questionnaire is constantly updated and completed,” Stevens said on Thursday. “Don’t call the information line right away; only if you cannot find the answer to your question,” he urged.
