Thousands of tickets have been reserved for Belgian sports fans in the upcoming Summer Olympics in Tokyo, for which ticket sales will start in mid-June.
Out of the total of 7.8 million tickets put on sale for the Tokyo 2020 games, 9,000 have been reserved for Belgians wishing to support their country's athletes.
With 400 days to go before the summer games kick-off, the tickets were reserved by a Brussels-based events company in association with Belgium's Olympic and Interfederal Committee, who handles ticketing for Belgian supporters.
Five different types of tickets will be put on sale, with varying seating location in the sports halls and venues of the Japanese capital.
The prices for the opening ceremony of the games, officially known as the Games of the 23rd Olympiad, go from €116 to €2,473.
Belgians wishing to attend can buy a ticket on the company's website (Eventeam) from June 20.
