EMB (Muslim Executive in Belgium), the representational body for the Islamic faith, revealed on Tuesday that as there is no official temporary slaughterhouse in the city of Brussels this year, members of the Muslim community residing in the city (comprising Laeken, Haren and Neder-Over-Heembeek) and choosing to sacrifice a sheep will be welcome at the Molebeek-Saint-Jean facilities if they pre-register in advance. The temporary slaughterhouse solution will be available for 2 days only: Eid (September 24th) and the following day.
The Muslim Executive added that the slaughter will be done without stunning.
