The Dutch chain of fitness clubs, Basic-Fit, continues to expand in Belgium, according to its annual results, published on Tuesday. Basic-Fit’s annual turnover increased by a quarter in 2017, totalling 326 million euro. The Belgian market accounted for 117 million euro, an 11% increase.
The overall number of Basic-Fit clubs went from 419 in 2016 to 521 in 2017; most of the new ones were registered in France.
Belgium has the highest number of clubs, 167, eight more than a year ago.
Basic-Fit plans to open about 100 new clubs this year, mainly in France.
