After a successful debut last year, Kiosk Radio is bringing its Woodblocks Festival back to the Royal Park in Brussels on 6-8 September.

Kiosk Radio has been broadcasting a wide range of music genres 24/7 since 2017, with the Woodblocks Festival line-up promising to be a genre-bending celebration of the wide offering of the online community radio and streaming platform.

This year's edition will bring alternative live acts and DJs throughout the day in the beautiful setting of the open-air VauxHall Theatre, just a stone’s throw away from Kiosk’s usual headquarters in the Royal Park.

The festival will open on Friday 6 September (18:00-23:00) in collaboration with the emblematic Belgian label STROOM, known for digging out overlooked music from the 1980s and '90s.

There will also be live performances from the Greek harpist and singer Sissi Rada, British rapper and producer Iceboy Violet and many others to get the weekend into motion.

On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September, the programme will be spread across two stages, hosting concerts from the afternoon until early evening, as well as DJ sets in the evening.

The line-up includes South London’s dubstep pioneer Mala, avant-garde Dutch artist DJ Marcelle, the elusive Bobby Beethoven (New York), and Valentina Magaletti's new band Holy Tongue.

Also on the programme are footwork producer Jlin, fresh from her acclaimed collaboration with Björk, and Portuguese artists PRÍNCIPE O Ghettão.

Woodblocks Festival aims to shine the spotlight on the local Belgian scene, by inviting some of the best emerging bands such as Daisy Ray, Belgian-Bolivian multi-instrumentalist Susobrino and Brussels post-punk band Warm Exit.

As for the 2023 edition, the Belgian architecture collective Club Dérive is transforming the VauxHall and its wooden structures with scaffolding scattered around the site in various units, offering a unique festival setting in the heart of Brussels.
