Dutch DJ Martin Garrix has been named the world’s most popular DJ by the British magazine DJ Mag during a ceremony on Saturday night in Amsterdam.
This marks the fifth time Garrix has won the title, putting him on par with fellow Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren, who presented him with the award.
At 28 years old, Garrix takes the top spot from French DJ David Guetta, who held the title last year.
Guetta is ranked second this year, followed by the Belgian duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike in third place.
Garrix was previously the most popular DJ in 2022 and had a three-year winning streak from 2016 to 2018.
"I am listed with my idols. I admire Armin and Tiësto," Garrix stated in reaction to his success. "Being ranked among these DJs once seemed impossible."
