The 65th Grammy Awards ceremony took place on Sunday night in Los Angeles. With 91 Grammy winners, Beyoncé broke the record for most wins by any artist with four victories out of her nine nominations.
The Album of the Year award went to Harry Styles for his album "Harry's House". Harry Styles remained humble in his acceptance speech by reminding us that there is no such thing as 'best' music.
Lizzo's song "About Damn Time" won her the award for Record of the Year. "When we lost Prince I dedicated my life to making positive music. I wanted to make the world a better place," Lizzo said as she dedicated her award to Prince.
The award for Best New Artist went to Samara Joy. The young jazz singer is best known for her song "Guess who I saw today". She was nominated alongside Anitta, Domi & JD Beck, Latto, Måneskin, Molly Tuttle, Muni Long, Omar Apollo, Tobe Nwigwe and Wet Leg.
Bonnie Raitt went home with the award for Best Song of the Year for "Just Like That". The award was presented to the stunned Bonnie Raitt by the United States First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden. "I don't write a lot of songs, but I'm so proud that you appeciate this one and what this means for me and for the rest of the songwriters," said Raitt during her acceptance speech.
"Easy on Me" won Adele the Best Pop Solo Performance award. Dwayne Johnson presented the award to Adele and invited her to the stage. The artist was emotional as she accepted her award, "Don't cry, if you win anything don't cry, and here I am crying," she said.
