Hidden in a deep valley, Parc Pierre Paulus is one of Brussels’ most romantic parks.
You need to look hard to find the entrance next to the Parvis de Saint Gilles metro station. Once through the gate, you discover this secret park built on a steep slope with a pond, bridge and classical folly.
The higher section of the park was once a private garden belonging to the Maison Pelgrims, now an art centre. Dug up during the construction of the metro in 1973, the landscaped estate was restored from 2021-23 by the Region to create one of the city’s most attractive green spots.
