Consumer confidence in Belgium dropped to its lowest level in two years in January.
Families have less faith in the overall economic outlook and plan to save less, the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) reported on Thursday.
The consumer confidence indicator fell for the third consecutive month, reaching -11 in January.
This is the lowest level since January 2023, when the indicator stood at -12, according to NBB statistics.
Expectations regarding the labour market remain stable.
Families’ outlook on their personal financial situation in the coming months also remains unchanged.
