The Action retail chain saw its sales rise by 20.9% to €3 billion in the first quarter of this year, according to a press release issued on Thursday by the Dutch company, which also has branches in Belgium.
Excluding the impact of the 42 new branches, sales rose by 9.8%. Action has not disclosed any information regarding its profits.
In the first three months of the year, Action cut prices on more than 1,000 products, on top of price reductions on 2,500 articles last year.
The company sells mainly low-cost items from China. Action now boasts a total of 2,608 shops across Europe.
