The Musiq3 Festival in Brussels is set to return from 27-30 June at Flagey and Marni Theatre, Ixelles, confirmed by the organisers on Monday, with 17 concerts scheduled from the Belgian and international classical, jazz and electronic scenes.

The event boasts a diverse line-up of classical, early and electronic music and is the launchpad for Wallonia’s festival season. This year’s theme is Rise, a variation of Wallonia Festival’s core theme, “Natures”, underscoring the transformative power of nature and music’s ability to adapt in constantly evolving environments.

Music enthusiasts can anticipate performances from acclaimed artists such as the ensemble Vox Luminis, soprano Gwendoline Blondeel, young Venezuelan conductor Glass Marcano, and pianist Marc-André Hamelin.

Also participating is early music specialist, Jos Van Immerseel. From his harpsichord, he will lead the Royal Conservatory of Brussels’ baroque orchestra to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the institution’s early music section.

The opening day will kick off with a unique twist — immersive audio-visual installations by contemporary Belgian artist Bob Verschueren will precede the opening concert in the Flagey corridors.

Adding to this year’s programme is a new initiative dedicated to podcasts, co-produced with Radio One, taking place on Saturday, 29 June, from 22:00 until midnight. Musiq3 is an RTBF-operated radio channel.
