King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium are set to visit the European Commission on Wednesday, a spokesperson for President Ursula von der Leyen confirmed on Monday.
The visit is part of Belgium’s ongoing Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which wraps up at the end of June.
It follows previous engagements by King Philippe at the European Parliament in April, where he addressed the plenary session of MEPs, and a reception at the ‘Palace of EU Heads of State and Government’.
Consequently, the King will have engaged with all three legislative institutions of the EU.
