Feel Good Festival – a music festival which was due to take place in Liège on the last weekend of June – has been cancelled after weeks of rain have left the ground too sodden to go ahead with the event.

The festival, which offers a family friendly programme of music with something for all ages and genres, was due to take place from 27 to 30 June in Aywaille in Liège. This month would have marked the ninth year of the festival, and the line-up featured acts such as Doria D, Hervé, Mentissa, Patrick Fiori, Rori, Loïc Nottet, Yannick Noah, and Mosimann.

However, organisers have now announced that due to heavy rain in recent weeks, the ground at the venue is too wet to erect structures needed to run the festival. After consulting with the local council, the decision has been made to reschedule Feel Good Festival until next year.

In a statement, organisers said that the decision to cancel this year's festival was "not taken lightly", and was due to a "force majeure" (an abnormal adverse weather event), and that safety of attendees is the priority.

"We understand your disappointment and share your frustration at this situation, which is beyond our control. We would like to thank you for your understanding and support. Your enthusiasm is our greatest motivation to bounce back and offer you an unforgettable experience next year," they said.

Festival goers can hold onto their tickets, which will be valid for next year's edition.

"We are already doing everything we can to make this celebration a memorable one, which lives up to your expectations and your loyalty," said the organisers.
