Royal family shows up to support Red Devils in Cologne

King Philippe of Belgium, along with three of his children, attended Cologne stadium to support the Red Devils, the Belgian national football team.

For their second match of Euro 2024, the Red Devils were up against Romania on Saturday evening and emerged victorious with a score of 2-0.

King Philippe, along with his three children Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eléonore, turned up in support of the team. Princess Elisabeth (his eldest child) was absent.

King Philippe previously visited the Red Devils on 4 June at the national football centre in Tubize, in the company of Prince Emmanuel. The two were accompanied by Red Devils captain Kevin De Bruyne and manager Domenico Tedesco.

In the past, the monarch attended the team's qualifying match against Estonia on 12 September when they won 5-0, and travelled to Denmark for their second group match in Euro 2020.

This Saturday marked the Red Devils’ second Group E match, following their 1-0 loss to Slovakia. They will face Ukraine in their final group match at 18:00 on Wednesday.
