A man was seriously injured in a knife attack in the Linkeroever district of Antwerp on Friday evening, according to local police.
The attack took place on Reinaartlaan. The victim, a 31-year-old man, was taken to hospital.
The attacker has been apprehended.
The motive behind the attack is still under investigation. Initial police reports suggest the assault occurred within a familial context.
The suspect is believed to be a 58-year-old man.
