Belgian music superstar Stromae has announced a new film about his cancelled 'Multitude' tour.

The rapper and singer cancelled 28 concerts on the European leg of the 'Multitude' tour in 2023 due to poor health. "This is a difficult decision but it is necessary to get better," he said at the time.

On Tuesday, he told fans via social media that a film about the tour will soon be available to watch online for free.

The documentary features footage from all of the live shows that went ahead, and the artist says it is "an opportunity to freely enjoy the performance for the first time or to experience it again."

He added that more information would be disclosed soon.

The 39-year-old (whose real name is Paul Van Haver) also thanked his fans for their ongoing support. "I was deeply moved by the kindness and empathy you expressed after I had to cancel the last leg of my tour," he said.

Stromae is one of the most successful French-speaking artists globally and was born and raised in Brussels. He is best known for tracks Alors on Danse, Papaoutai and Formidable.

He was awarded an Order of the Crown for his artistic contributions by King Philippe of Belgium as part of National Day celebrations on 19 July.
