A Vlaams Belang candidate for the City of Brussels, Emanuele Licari, has published a number of messages on his personal website advocating fascism, reports the Dutch-language Brussels media Bruzz.
Lipari, 8th on the list, posted several messages in French on his website - which has been inactive since the Bruzz revelations - in which he promotes his fascist ideas and convictions.
On 31 January, for example, the person concerned, who has been a member of the Nation party for several years, posted a photo of himself posing in front of a flag with a symbol taken from the Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini.
In a comment published below the photo, he warmly thanks the "friends" of Casa Pound – a violent Italian neofascist movement – for their welcome in Italy and the membership card he received on the occasion of this visit.
In another message consulted by Bruzz, Licari recalls the years when he was president of the Belgian National Front youth movement.
