The Belgian television series ‘Moresnet’ has been selected for the Film Festival Cologne, according to the Streamz streaming service, which will exclusively offer the series from 7 November.
‘Moresnet’ is produced by Belgian studios Lompvis and Caviar, in co-production with Germany’s Flare Film and Pupkin of the Netherlands.
The series is one of ten nominated for the Best TV Series section at the Cologne festival, competing for the Hollywood Reporter Award.
It follows Ben Schotz (Boris Van Severen) who returns to his hometown, Moresnet, to unearth a time capsule he buried with childhood friends 22 years earlier, revealing a list of friends’ names with their death dates within ten days.
The cast also includes Joke Emmers, Arend Pinoy, and Bram De Win.
Supported by the Flemish Audiovisual Fund, VAF, ‘Moresnet’ was previously selected for the official competition at the 7th International Cannes Series, where its first two episodes premiered in April, but did not win.
The Film Festival Cologne runs from 17 to 24 October, with ‘Moresnet’ screening on 21 October.
Winners will be announced on the final day.
