Train service will be completely halted until Sunday between the stations of Ottignies and Gembloux on the Namur-Brussels line 161.
The disruption is due to maintenance work. It starts on Friday morning and will end at 17:00 on Sunday.
During this period, all trains running between Ottignies and Gembloux, as well as between Ottignies and Louvain-la-Neuve, will be replaced by SNCB buses.
Infrabel, the rail infrastructure manager, will be conducting maintenance and renewal work on various railway components, including the switches at Gembloux station, level crossings, and train detection devices on the tracks.
"These interventions are necessary to maintain the safety and performance of the network. A complete interruption allows Infrabel personnel to work more quickly and safely," Infrabel stated in a press release.
All information regarding the adjusted SNCB service is available on the SNCB website and app, as well as on the journey planner.
