Belgian railway company SNCB is again launching its 'Winter Promo' train tickets this winter holiday period, allowing passengers to book a round-trip for half the price.
The Winter Promo will run from Saturday 21 December until Sunday 5 January. Passengers in both first and second class will get a 50% discount for return journeys on the same day. Children under 12 years old already travel for free on the train.
"We want to convince as many travellers as possible to choose the train for a visit to the Christmas market, a shopping trip or a walk in nature or at the coast," the company said in a press release.
The tickets can be bought via the SNCB app and website, at ticket machines and at ticket offices.
During the Christmas holidays, SNCB will slightly adjust its train offer: fewer P-trains (peak hour trains) will run and some S-trains will not be operated either.
