Millions of travellers are facing severe disruptions in the United Kingdom at the start of the holiday season due to poor weather conditions.
Flights and ferry services have been cancelled due to strong gusts of wind.
The UK's Meteorological Office issued yellow warnings on Saturday morning, which will remain in place until Sunday evening.
Heathrow Airport reported that a "small number" of flights were cancelled due to "strong gusts and airspace restrictions".
British Airways stated that disruptions are likely to continue over the weekend leading up to the Christmas celebrations.
A spokesperson for the airline added that due to the adverse weather conditions, "restrictions have been imposed on the number of flights that can take off and land at Heathrow, resulting in some cancellations."
Ferry operator P&O Ferries announced that services between Scotland and Northern Ireland are cancelled until at least Sunday evening.
