A Colruyt supermarket in Gentplaats, Antwerp, located next to the courthouse, was attacked again during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday.
There had been a previous incident at the end of November, but no one was injured in either event.
“Just before 3 am, there was an attack on this supermarket in Gentplaats,” a police spokesperson said on Wednesday. “There were explosions followed by a fire. The store’s glass entrance door was damaged.”
Forensic experts and the bomb disposal service SEDEE arrived at the scene to investigate.
