Albert Heijn, in collaboration with the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC), is recalling the special beer Uiltje Apfelstrudel Doppelbock.

The supermarket chain is recalling the beer because the allergen ‘oat’ is not listed on the label. This oversight poses a risk to customers with an oat allergy.

The recall concerns bottles with the following best-before dates: 21-11-2025, 01-11-2025, 26-10-2025, 12-10-2025, 06-10-2025, 29-09-2025, 27-09-2025, 12-09-2025, 16-10-2026, 02-10-2026, and 01-10-2026.

The product is packaged in 33-centilitre glass bottles and was sold until 3 January 2025.

Albert Heijn advises customers with an oat allergy not to consume the product and to return it to any store for a full refund.

Customers can contact Albert Heijn at 0800 777 05 for more information.
