The Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI) has issued a yellow weather warning for the entire country from Friday evening through to Saturday morning due to potentially icy conditions.
The entire country will freeze over on Friday evening, Friday night and during the day on Saturday.
Roads will become slippery due to patches of frozen ice. Particular caution should be exercised where melted snow will add to this issue.
In addition to icy roads, there is a risk of freezing fog, which will reduce visibility to less than 200 metres. The fog is expected to come in from 18:00 on Friday and last until 11:00 on Saturday.
Western Belgium and coastal areas will experience a few local showers over the weekend. Again, precipitation may freeze on the roads.
The rest of the country will remain dry with the exception of very local snowfall.
