A burglar was seriously injured after falling off a roof on Sunday morning in Kortrijk, confirmed police spokesperson Thomas Detavernier.
The man sustained multiple fractures and was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.
Police were alerted on Sunday morning by someone who saw a man walking on the roof of a house on Heilige-Geeststraat in Kortrijk.
"The witness suddenly saw the man fall from the roof. He fell several meters and was seriously injured," said Detavernier.
The burglar reportedly made two attempted break-ins but did not successfully enter any property. He is believed to have acted alone, according to police.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
