The nine-year-old girl who was missing since Sunday night in Charleroi was found in good health.
On Monday, the Police launched a missing persons alert for Maya Charles who was last seen at 21:05 on Sunday near her home on Rue de Sélestat in Charleroi.
She was later found in an abandoned house in the Charleroi region in the company of a 41-year-old man. He was taken in for questioning by the authorities.
The missing person's alert described Maya as being around 140 cm tall, with blue eyes and short, straight, brown hair. She has a round face and a scar under her right eye. She wears black glasses with red temples. Maya is hearing and visually impaired.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a dark t-shirt, pink shorts, a black shoulder bag, and pink slippers.
The missing person's alert has now been cancelled.
