The post-impressionist master Vincent Van Gogh is making his way to the Cité Ardente. Starting on 30 January, his sunflowers and starry nights will come to life at the Saint-Pholien Church in Liège.

This is the first immersive exhibition in Wallonia, which has already captivated more than 10 million visitors worldwide, announce the organisers of Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience.

Produced by Exhibition Hub and Fever, the exhibition offers a 750-square-metre journey blending digital art and virtual reality.

Visitors can wander through a life-sized recreation of The Bedroom before being enveloped by a 360-degree projection that animates over 200 of the Flemish painter’s works.

A virtual reality setup will also allow enthusiasts to “step into” eight iconic paintings by the master.

The most creative visitors can take on the role of the artist and create their own works in a dedicated workshop.

The exhibition will open on 30 January and will run at least until the summer of 2025.

Created by the Belgian company Exhibition Hub in 2017, Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” has toured the world, being showcased in major cities such as New York, Singapore, London, Los Angeles, and Milan, attracting over 10 million visitors in total.
