Due to a water leak in the prison cell complex, no detainees were transferred to the Brussels Palace of Justice on Wednesday morning, according to the Belga News Agency.
Brussels firefighters attended the scene. "We were called at around 9:00," said firefighter spokesperson Walter Derieuw.
"It was a water leak dripping onto an electrical installation. It has been detected and sealed," Derieuw added.
The electricity and distribution network operator, Sibelga, will inspect the installation to ensure safety.
