After a full day and night, the debate on the new Federal Government's policy declaration was still ongoing in the Parliament on Thursday at 09:15.

Since 10:00 on Wednesday, representatives of political groups have been taking turns at the podium to either criticise or defend the government agreement made by the five 'Arizona' parties (N-VA, MR, Les Engagés, Vooruit, and CD&V).

However, the questions are numerous and the speakers are frequently interrupted. The new Vooruit group leader, Oskar Seuntjens, spoke shortly after 07:00. He followed Sarah Schlitz (Ecolo), who expressed her concerns about the agreement, calling it "brutal." Afterwards, it is up to the Open VLD and CD&V parties, followed by the one-man groups DéFI and Jean-Marie Dedecker.

After the parties, it is Prime Minister Bart De Wever's turn to reply, after which each group is allowed to respond again.

However, that is not the end of the matter. Afterwards, the thematic debates will start, with each minister being questioned.

The vote of confidence on the new government is possible from 16:00, but is expected to take place much later.
