The Port of Ostend was the victim of a cyberattack on Monday night, the Port reported on Tuesday. Experts are helping the port to resolve the issue.
The attack targeted the Port community system 'Ensor'. The Ensor system contains data related to the arrival and departure of ships, including crew lists.
However, according to the Port, "no critical data is found in this system." Other systems remain unaffected, and the port's operations have not been disrupted.
A team from the Port of Ostend, supported by external experts, is currently taking the necessary measures to restore the system as quickly as possible.
