Following a cold morning with some sunny spells, temperatures will drop across Belgium on Friday, according to the latest forecasts from the Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI). In some areas, it will be as cold as -10°C.

On Friday, low clouds are expected to spread over Belgium from the Netherlands and Germany. Only regions near the French border are likely to see clear spells in the afternoon.

In the evening and overnight, the skies will gradually clear. In the second half of the night, high clouds will move in from the west. Temperatures will drop to around -2°C at the coast and locally -10°C in the Ardennes.

A sunny start is expected on Saturday, with occasional patches of high clouds. The clouds will become gradually denser from the west. Maximum temperatures will range from 1°C or 2°C in the higher areas of the Ardennes to 3°C or 4°C in most other regions.

Sunday will see a few clouds in the morning followed by sunny spells. Temperatures will remain relatively cool and frost will make a return throughout the country overnight.
