More than 3,750 people attended the fourth edition of the Aviato Job Fair, held on Tuesday in the Skyhall of the national airport in Zaventem.
The event offered 400 positions within Brussels Airport and hundreds of opportunities in other regional sectors.
About 50 companies active at the airport, in various sectors, presented their job prospects. In addition to Brussels Airport, they included companies and services such as TUI, Brussels Airlines, Swissport, Aviapartner, DH, De Lijn, Defence, and the police.
“It is now difficult to find enough workers in all sectors,” said Isabelle Borli, Managing Director of Aviato. “That’s why we organise an event like this.”
Sought-after positions at the airport include handlers, operations managers, check-in agents, security agents, and technical or engineering profiles.
Hospitality and reception roles are also in high demand.
The Aviato Job Fair, organised in collaboration with Brussels Airport Company, Flemish employment agency VDAB, Actiris, and Voka, is the largest employment fair in the province of Flemish Brabant.
