Train services on all routes to and from French Lille Flandres station were halted on Sunday morning due to cable theft, as reported by France Bleu.
No TER trains are operating on these routes. Some TGV services are also affected. Traffic is expected to resume in the afternoon.
The disruption also impacts the Belgian network, with no trains running between Mouscron and Lille. The SNCB estimates that normal service won’t return before 5 PM.
Several hundred metres of cable have been stolen, according to the SNCF, which advises travellers to postpone their journeys.
