The Virgin Group, led by businessman Richard Branson, plans to raise €834 million from investors to start a train service between Brussels, Paris and London, competing with Eurostar, according to the Financial Times.

Virgin aims to have trains running by 2029, initially from London to Paris and Brussels, and later to Amsterdam.

Virgin previously operated train services in the UK but is not the only company considering competing with Eurostar.
