Stellantis, the car manufacturer behind brands like Peugeot, Opel, and Citroën, is making customers wait too long for compensation related to issues with the PureTech engine.

According to consumer organisation Testachats, PureTech engines reportedly break down faster than expected, leading to significant repair costs.

Stellantis extended the warranty on these engines and promised to compensate consumers for the incurred costs.

However, Testachats claims that communication to customers is "non-existent" and that Stellantis is not handling claims properly.

Despite announcing that requests would be processed from mid-February, no one has yet received any refunds.

The consumer organisation has reached out to Stellantis and the Federal Public Service Economy regarding the issue.

Testachats also reports problems with compensation for defective AdBlue tanks.
