Volvo has recalled several models of plug-in hybrid cars due to a risk of battery overheating.
The Swedish company has advised customers not to charge the affected vehicles until the issue is resolved. The recall affects 2,389 vehicles in Belgium.
Impacted customers will be contacted next week.
The recalled vehicles are 2020 to 2022 models, including the S60, V60, XC60, S90, V90, and XC90.
These cars feature both a combustion engine and an electric motor and can be charged from a power outlet.
Volvo advises against charging these cars for now due to the potential for the battery to overheat when fully charged.
Owners will be asked to bring their vehicles to a garage for inspection and updates.
No injuries have been reported due to this issue, according to Volvo.
