A fire broke out in a building housing a law firm after what appears to be an explosive or incendiary bomb was thrown at the building on Wednesday, local police confirmed.
The incident occurred at around 03:20 in Haantjeslei in Antwerp.
Three vehicles and a cargo bike were damaged, and windows in the building were smashed. It is possible that the perpetrators first tried to break the window before throwing the explosive inside, but to no avail. There were no injuries.

The forensic laboratory and the army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit arrived on the scene to investigate.
The law firm in the building includes a number of well-known lawyers, such as Christian Clement. In the past, he has defended the serial killer Stephaan Du Lion and one of the members of the Reuzengom student group in the Sanda Dia case. He is also involved in the major 'Costa' anti-drug trial.
