A man was fatally hit while changing a tyre with his father on Monday afternoon in Flémalle (Liège province), the Liège Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed on Wednesday.
The Public Prosecutor's Office was notified at around 15:00 on Monday about a fatal accident on Théodule Gonda Avenue in Flémalle.
A father and son were changing a tyre on the side of the road when they were hit by a vehicle that fled the scene.
The son died at the scene. The father was injured and has been given ten days off work.
The vehicle and its driver have not yet been identified. An investigation has been launched to locate them, and the case is ongoing.
