Zelenskyy announces three deals with Belgian defence companies

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the signing of three agreements with Belgian defence companies on Tuesday .

The Ukrainian leader made the announcement on social media after meeting with Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever in Kyiv.

"We discussed joint weapons production and investments in arms manufacturing on Ukrainian soil, steps that will benefit all of Europe. Today, there are three agreements with Belgian manufacturers. We are currently signing the documents," added Zelenskyy.

He also thanked Belgium for its new military aid package worth €1 billion.

"€1 billion is a significant amount that will really help us save lives," Zelenskyy commented.

"Belgium has consistently supported us since the first days of the full-scale invasion – through defence, political, and humanitarian assistance – as well as support for Ukrainians in Belgium."
