Ahold Delhaize, the parent company of supermarket chains Delhaize and Albert Heijn, was hit by a major ransomware attack, according to Dutch broadcaster BNR.

A total of 6 terabytes of data was reportedly stolen by the Russia-linked hacker collective INC Ransom. The group is threatening to publish the data.

INC Ransom's demands are still unclear. Ahold Delhaize has confirmed the attack to BNR and reports that it relates to an incident in November.

It is still unclear what data has been stolen. On the forum where INC Ransom reported the attack, the collective has already shared documents it was able to obtain. These include old data, such as a confidentiality agreement signed by someone visiting an Ahold Delhaize location. Identity documents of individuals have also been released.
