The 147th edition of the Herve Cavalcade, which took place from last Thursday to Monday, was a great success, according to Wallonia's Herve Tourism Board.

Over 50,000 visitors were recorded in the Liege province city, as reported by the organisation.

"We were fortunate with the weather. The quality of the floats and performances was excellent. Attendance typically ranges from 40,000 to 60,000 people, depending on the weather," noted Jérémy Zegels, the new president of the Tourism Board and successor to Raphaël Bontemps.

On Easter Monday, the grand procession featured over 2,500 participants parading through the streets of Herve, accompanied by 150 horses, including 120 draft horses and more than 30 horses for the equestrian shows.

In total, around 40 groups participated, including six folk ensembles. Among them were the stilt walkers from Namur, returning after a seven-year absence.

The event also welcomed Phoenix, a Mexican ensemble on a world tour that stopped in Herve.

"We are truly delighted with the 2025 edition," concluded Zegels.
