Police appeal for witnesses to recent fatal shootings in Anderlecht

On Friday afternoon, Belgian federal police issued a public appeal for witnesses following a shooting incident on 18 April in the Brussels neighbourhood of Cureghem, Anderlecht, in which a man was fatally wounded.

The police reported that on Friday, 18 April, shortly before 21:00, a fight broke out among several individuals on Chaussée de Mons, between the Porte d’Anderlecht and Notre-Dame-Immaculée Church on Rue Dr de Meersman.

During the altercation, shots were fired, resulting in the death of a 28-year-old man.

As part of the investigation, and at the request of the Brussels investigating judge, the federal police are seeking anyone who witnessed the event or has information regarding the incident.

The police assured that any information provided will be handled with discretion.
