Due to a general interprofessional strike on Tuesday, six out of ten IC trains will operate, while only half L and S trains and very few P trains will be running, according to a statement from the SNCB on Sunday.

Train services will be reduced starting from 22:00 on Monday, 28 April, until the same time on Tuesday, 29 April. The SNCB has organised an alternative service based on staff members who have confirmed their availability to work. This service can be accessed from Monday morning via SNCB’s online journey planner.

Additionally, the SNCB will continue to provide assistance services for passengers with reduced mobility during the strike using the alternative train service.

For international rail traffic, travellers are encouraged to visit the SNCB International website at www.b-europe.com.

Christian and socialist unions will take to the streets on Tuesday, 29 April, to protest the policies of the federal government. Mobilisation activities are planned in several regions of the country. This “regional” day of action follows the general strike of 31 March.
