The Finance Ministry will now overlook the first mistake made when submitting tax returns, a measure announced Monday at the start of tax declaration season.

From today (28 April), citizens can begin submitting their tax declarations. While mistakes can theoretically result in fines, this new policy exempts first-time errors.

Under the updated approach, initial errors will be corrected without penalties. The Finance Ministry notes that, in practice, this leniency has been applied in recent years.
