The weather on Wednesday is expected to be sunny and even warmer, with temperatures reaching up to 21°C at the coast and in the High Fens, and 26°C to 27°C in the plains, according to forecasts from the Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI).

Holidaymakers can look forward to another sunny day, although there might be occasional high-altitude clouds.

Temperatures will rise, peaking at 21°C at the coast and in the High Fens, 25°C to 26°C in central regions, and reaching up to 27°C in the Campine area.

The wind will generally be light and from the east to southeast or variable in direction, while at the coast it is expected to be moderate, shifting to a north-northeast direction.

Tomorrow's bank holiday (1 May) will also be warm and sunny with a few more high clouds or some medium-level cloud fields in the afternoon, according to the RMI.

Maximum temperatures will range from 22°C in the Hautes-Fagnes to 27°C or even 28°C locally in the lowlands, with a light southerly wind. On the coast, a moderate north to north-easterly sea breeze will develop in the afternoon.

The warm, sunny weather is expected to continue into Friday and the weekend before temperatures dip next week.
