The Brussels public prosecutor has opened a judicial inquiry following a report by the Court of Auditors on the Metro 3 project.
The Central Office for the Repression of Corruption (OCRC) has been tasked with examining the irregularities highlighted in the report to determine whether criminal offences related to public procurement may have been committed.
The prosecutor's office stated that it would make no further comment at this stage, in the interest of the ongoing investigation.
