For the third time in as many weeks, Belgium's Consultative Committee will meet early tomorrow (Friday) from 9:00 AM to discuss, once again, stricter coronavirus measures.

The next Consultative Committee had been scheduled for 15 December, but on Wednesday Flemish Minister-President Jan Jambon pushed for an early meeting, citing the dire situation in the intensive care units in the hospitals.

Unlike last week, ministers will meet physically, a source confirmed to The Brussels Times.

On Wednesday evening, the GEMS expert group already met to draw up new recommendations at the request of Corona Commissioner Pedro Facon, following Jambon's proposal to scrap all indoor events as soon as possible.

Like every Thursday, De Croo will answer questions in the Parliament from 2:15 PM this afternoon, where he will likely give more information about the decision.
