After last week's meeting was postponed, the Consultative Committee will meet again on Friday afternoon to discuss the latest coronavirus measures.
After the previous Consultative Committee decided not to take any measures during its meeting in the first week of 2022, the ministers will meet again in the afternoon on Friday 21 January, a spokesperson for Prime Minister Alexander De Croo confirmed to The Brussels Times.

The ministers are expected to discuss a medium-term strategy and introduce the long-awaited "coronavirus barometer" to provide the population as well as certain sectors more clarity about the measures.
Initially, the meeting was supposed to take place last week, but the final documents for the technical design of the barometer were not ready yet. Additionally, it was considered too early to determine the impact of the Omicron wave on the hospitals after the schools had reopened and people returned to work after the Christmas break.
